Imagine a cove so remote, so exquisitely untouched that no road leads there. Now imagine yourself surrounded by pristine forest and clear cascading waterfalls where your every whim is catered for.
Zulunkhuni River Lodge is located near the small fishing village of RUARWE, 60km North of Nkhata Bay. This area is populated by tiny fishing communities, often cut off from the rest of the country with access only by boat. This is due to the unique topography of steep forested escarpments and roaring waterfalls which make the area a road builder's nightmare, and therefore an ecologistās paradise.
It is an eco lodge set within this paradise.Nestled amongst granite cliffs, indigenous forest and cascading waterfalls, their low price lakeside accommodation is complemented by a fantastic restaurant/bar, and activities on offer include hiking, snorkeling, fishing, cliff jumping and cultural tours of the surrounding communities. In support of the local economy, the lodge also offers volunteering opportunities.
