Malawian Girls Rock aims to amplify the voices of every woman by getting in the forefront of their narratives through the use of digital media. The aim is to make an impact one click at a time through engaging content that tells her-story. From our articles, podcast and ever growing community of women and allies - we exist to serve as an umbrella organization that spotlights the achievements of Malawian women and women globally; through various campaigns and initiatives. 

 

We promote, amplify and inspire! Malawian Girls Rock is a mobile platform founded by multi award-winning artist Hazel ‘Mak’ Makunganya dedicated to empowering girls and young women in Malawi to become agents of change in their communities. 

Our curated content explores life through the lenses of our female writers/contributors from politics, feminism and arts & culture to name a few. MGR platform was created simply because got tired of being underrepresented and misrepresented.  We curate content that encourages women to live their more authentic and unapologetic lives!
