Inspector Chisomo Chimaneni Aide de Camp, had been with the Police Service for almost a decade. Chisomo Chimaneni joined the police in 2012 and rose through the ranks to become an inspector. He was then appointed as the Vice President's Aide de Camp, according to a brief biography posted by a Malawian Online News Source website,he served in this role till his death. Chisomo Chimaneni, born on July 2, 1986 and was buried on June 13, 2024 at Ntchisi.


Dr. Daniel Kanyemba was a Medical Officer who served as the Vice President's official clinician. For those who knew him, Dr. Daniel Kanyemba was a humble, generous, and diligent young man with a bright future and much to offer the nation. Born in December 1989 and was buried on June 13, 2024, in Lilongwe.


Mr Abdul Kingstone Lapukeni, served as the Deputy Chief of Protocol under the Vice President. He was born on 8th March,1968 and was buried in Mangochi on 13th  June,2024.


Colonel Owen Sambalopa, the Pilot in command, joined the Malawi Defense Force in 1999 and served faithfully till his death where he worked as Malawi Airforce Headquarters Inspector General. Major Sambalopa was born in September 1969 and was buried on June 14th, 2024 in Zomba.


Major Wales Aidini was an aircraft engineer. He was a decorated soldier whose efforts had earned him four medals. He has worked for the United Nations in Ivory Coast and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Major Wales was planning to have an engagement ceremony on the 2th ofJuly, 2024, which was to be followed by a wedding in October 2024. He was born on February 6, 1981. He was buried in Mangochi, with military honors.


Losing nine people has been a very heartbreaking experience for our nation ; let us all come together in support, empathy and resilience during such challenging times. Our condolences go out to all Malawians and the bereaved.
